About
I have just graduated from The University of York with a 2:1 BSc Honours degree in Film and Television Production. During my 3 years at university I worked on 50 different productions covering a wide range of genres. For me costumes and sets are all about creating visual cues for the audience so they know who the character is and where they are before the actor says their first line. I also believe that costumes are essential in helping an actor get into character so I begin by trying to understand their position in time and space. I then use those reference points to achieve the director's vision. However, as a costume and set designer, my ultimate responsibility is to create believable characters and settings with which the audience can identify.
